For those who want to savour some local specialities, we have prepared a real taste tour that will take you from Varigotti to Finalborgo.

Just a few metres from Hotel Liliana is the historic Cassina bakery: here, in addition to the classic Ligurian focaccia, we recommend you try the famous marmalade sfogliatine. Think that they are so good and in such demand that they are baked all day long!

Walking along the sea in the direction of the Saracen village, we recommend a detour to Strada Vecchia, where you will find the Ruffino winery, a family that has been handing down the wine tradition from generation to generation for centuries.

Stretching as far as Finale Ligure, in the hamlet of Calvisio, we recommend a stop at the Frantoio Magnone, another place where the centuries-old culture of olive oil is still preserved. In addition to the main product, you can also find other really tasty local gastronomic products here.

On the way to Finalmarina, we suggest you have a coffee at Bar Pasticceria Ferro, a historic business founded in 1872 that has become famous for its chifferi, small baked almond cakes. A few metres away is the Birrificio Finalese (Finalese Brewery), where you will be able to try different types of high fermentation craft beer, and the Cassalino pasta factory, which prepares a pesto that we really like!

Are you vegetarian or vegan? No problem! Along Finalmarina’s seaside promenade, the fruit and vegetable market ‘dei contadini’ is organised a few times a week, where local farms, in addition to strictly seasonal fruit and vegetables, bring their delicious products to the sea. Among these, we recommend the Fernandez company’s jams, in particular that of the pernambucco orange, a typical Ligurian variety.

With a quiet walk along Via Brunenghi, you can enter the walls of Finalborgo, the famous medieval village, one of the most beautiful in Italy. In the main square you will find another historical activity: the Bar Centrale, where you can enjoy a mouth-watering ice-cream break while strolling through the narrow streets and lanes that hide truly characteristic glimpses.

Beyond the village, proceeding along Via Fiume, you can reach the Aquila area, where you will find the Azienda agricola Parodi, founded in 1930, and specialised in the cultivation of niche products, especially chinotto.
